Is the cost of cleaning and laundry included in the prices shown on GetMeAnApartment.com?
Yes, the prices published include initial cleaning and laundry costs. However, should your stay be an extended one, you may wish to order additional cleaning and/or laundry services, the costs of which may not be included in the booking price and which you should organize directly with your accommodation manager.
Are utilities included in the Price?
Yes, the published prices include utilities, gas, electricity and water. However should your stay be for a number of months, this could vary. Please consult us or see the special conditions of the apartment.
What is the prepayment?
The prepayment is the advance amount that must be paid to confirm your booking, and which is deducted from the total price when settling the full payment at the check-in.
How can I pay the prepayment?
You can make the prepayment using credit/debit card, PayPal, or bank transfer. All payment methods are available on our website, however we are very happy to take your payment directly by telephone, email or fax.
When is the remaining amount of the booking price paid?
The settlement payment is made on the day of your arrival at your check-in at the apartment or its reception.
How can I pay the remaining amount?
The accepted types of payment for the settlement amount vary depending on the apartment that you have booked. Please see the special conditions of the apartment to make sure you are aware of the accepted types before you arrive.
Do I have to provide a security bond against damages?
Yes. This action helps to remind you that the apartment is an asset of great value, which you must leave in the same conditions in which you found it at the check-in. The amount of the security bond varies depending on the apartment’s characteristics. The bond is reimbursed once the apartment has been revised at the end of your stay. Please consult the apartment’s special conditions regarding the acceptable forms of provision of the bond.
Can I receive a bill for my booking?
Yes of course, GetMeAnApartment always generates a bill for the prepayment amount for every booking made. Simply ask us for a copy and we will send it to you.
Do children and babies pay less than an adult?
In general, children under 4 years old and babies will be accommodated free of charge. In some apartments children up to 8 years old go for free. When you search availability or calculate price, simply insert the number of children between 0-4 years and between 5-8 years and the system will automatically calculate and display the correct price.
Can I modify my booking?
We will do everything we can to satisfy your needs, even if they change. Please notify us immediately of any changes so that we can help you.
Can I cancel my booking?
Your booking can be cancelled however please bear in mind that your advance payment is non refundable.
What should I do when I arrive?
As soon as you have landed at the airport, or shortly before arriving to the city if travelling by any other means, you should call your contact person to arrange your check-in time and to advise that you have arrived as planned. Should you experience any delays you should call ahead to advise.
Do you provide an airport transfer and pickup service?
This service may be provided by the owner / manager of the apartment. Please consult the detailed information about the apartment.
How do I check-in / receive the keys?
At the check-in you will be shown the apartment and how its equipment is to be utilized. You will have to show your identification. The settlement is paid and the security bond payment or card details are also taken. The owner / manager will give you advice about the surrounding area and transport links, as well as answer any other queries you may have.
Will the apartment have a cot and/or baby’s high chair?
Some apartments have these items as part of the permanent equipment, in other apartments you will have to solicit them, and they may be subject to availability. The apartment detail tells you if these items are available, in the features section.
Are pets permitted in the apartments?
In some apartments pets are permitted, but in general they are prohibited. The apartment detail tells you whether pets are allowed, in the features section. Your pet may be accepted if you tell us about the type of animal and its characteristics, therefore it is well worth making an enquiry.
Is smoking permitted in the apartments?
In some apartments smoking is permitted, but in general the apartments are non-smoking. If the apartment has an exterior part such as a terrace or balcony, you can smoke there. The detailed apartment file will tell you whether smoking is allowed, in the features section.
Will there be parking available?
Some apartments offer parking, which could be private or communal and could be subject to availability and/or additional cost. The apartment detail tells you whether parking is available, and what type it is. If the apartment offers parking you must specify it when making your booking.
How do I know about the equipment, location and area of the apartment?
Each apartment is published with a full detailed information file with the following sections:
A complete photographic report with both a selected and a complete set of photos, which allows you to view every square inch of the apartment.
A full written description in Dutch, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish which informs you about the apartment, it’s area and transport connections.
The interactive Google map gives you total freedom to view the apartment’s exact location in one of three modes: map, satellite or Street-View and to search the surrounding area for restaurants, cinemas, points of interest etc., or to calculate routes to any other point in the city.

We have actually preempted some of the things we think that you will want to know and have included the information for you in the “Details of the Surrounding Area” section. For example we tell you which are the nearest metro stations and which lines they are on, and we provide a link (click on “+info/see route”) which will open a window showing the exact route and distance.

Distribution of beds:
Each apartment has a different combination of beds and sleeping spaces. For clarity, this section provides you with the complete picture so that you know before you book if the apartment is right for you and your group.
Who should I speak to if I need something during my stay?
During your stay it is the accommodation manager who is responsible for you, whose telephone number you will have on your booking email. The accommodation manager will respond to your needs and attend to any issues with the apartment, therefore please get in touch with them for any unforeseen issues during your stay and/or requests regarding check-in/out times. However do not hesitate to contact us if you need our assistance and we will be happy to be of help.
Is there somewhere to keep our luggage?
Individual apartments usually do not have any independent storage facilities. Some apartments we offer are located in buildings with a reception and may offer this service. The apartment detail tells you if there is luggage storage, in the features section in the “Installations” category.
If the apartment doesn’t offer luggage storage, you could consult the section “Tour Guide” in the right hand menu in our website to view information regarding the main transport terminals where it is usually possible to leave luggage safely.
