From the Plaza America apartment you will enjoy arriving to any point within the historic centre (including the cathedral, bullring, central market, Serranos towers etc.) in a maximum fifteen minute walk, to the Turia river garden in two minutes, and the City of Arts and Sciences in approximately half an hour. You could also walk to the university in twenty minutes.
Staying at the Plaza America apartment you will enjoy residing in Eixample, the most upmarket district of Valencia where you will find some of the city's most select restaurants, cafés and bars surrounding the apartment, and where you will have the main shopping zone just outside your front door. An area especially renowned for its street atmosphere full of people eating out on its terraces is that of the streets around the Plaza de Canovas such as Conde de Altea where you will be able to arrive in just a five minute walk along Conde de Salvatierra and crossing the Gran Via.
GETTING AROUND FROM THE PLAZA AMERICA APARTMENT.
The Plaza America apartment is named after a square bearing the same name, located beside the Turia gardens and the Puente del Mar bridge, a very strategic point for getting to just about anywhere in the city.
To get to the City of Arts and Sciences by bus, take the number 95 from Plaza America – Gran Vía and you will be there in just 10 mins. To get to the city beach, take the number 32 bus from Palau de Justícia – Glorieta (follow Calle Grabador Esteve to Plaza Portal del Mar). Alternatively you could take the number 2 from the Plaza de Canovas (follow Calle Grabador Esteve in the direction of the Gran Vía). Both routes should take approximately half an hour.
You could also take the metro from Colón station to get to the beach, changing once at Marítim Serrería and getting off at either Neptú, Les Arenes or Eugenia Viñes – journey time also about half an hour. The apartment is 1.1 kilometres from the main railway station Estación del Norte, 2.3 km from the AVE station Joaquín Sorolla, and 2.8 km from the coach station.
