THE AREA SURROUNDING THE MONLEÓN APARTMENT.

The Monleón apartment provides you with a convenient base for getting around Valencia very quickly. The historic centre is a twenty minute walk away crossing the Puente del Mar bridge over the Turia riverbed, and the gardens of the Turia created from the riverbed itself, lie just a couple of minutes away. This six kilometre park can be followed on foot or bicycle to the old town (come out at the Serranos Gate after half an hour's walk), or to the City of Arts and Sciences in under ten minute's walk.

On the opposite side of the riverbed, crossing the Ángel Custodio bridge, you will come to the neighbourhood of Ensanche, renowned for its street terraces and relaxed atmosphere where an outstanding selection of restaurants and bars are to be found.

The local neighbourhood of the Monleón apartment is residential and has good bus links to the beach, historic centre, and F1 circuit. There are cafés and restaurants and there is a 365 day supermarket at a couple of minute's walk and a larger supermarket at under ten minute's walk.


GETTING AROUND FROM THE MONLEÓN APARTMENT.

From the Monleón apartment a brief stroll will bring you to the City of Arts and Sciences or the Ensanche area. The old town where the important historic monuments are to be found is best reached on the number 4 bus which will drop you off at the cathedral after six stops; catch it from the Calle Islas Canarias at the end of your road.

To get to the city beaches take the number 2 bus from the Avenida del Puerto for twelve stops and get off at Calle Dr Lluch at the junction with Calle del Mediterráneo. The metro stop for the aiport is Aragón (Line 5), fifteen minute's walk away. The Estación del Norte railway station is 2 km away and the AVE high speed rail station (Joaquín Sorolla) is 3 km away. The coach station is 4 km away.
