Just three minutes' walk away the Turia gardens provide you with ten kilometres of public park to explore, set in the ancient river bed of the river Turia, where you could enjoy a stroll, exercising, or a stop off at one of the cafés under the shade of the trees. The City of Arts and Sciences lies at the former mouth of the river, just five minutes' walk from the apartment. If you follow the river bed inland you will arrive at the Old Town which you can enter via the ancient Serranos Gate (approximately fourty minutes walk).

A quicker way to get to the historic centre is to walk in a straight line to the Calle Colón which will take you approximately twenty minutes and which brings you to Valencia's principal shopping area, from where the Cathedral, the Central Market, the Lonja, and the El Carmen neighbourhood are just a ten minute walk away.

On your way to the historic centre you will pass through the neighbourhood known as Ensanche where you will encounter the many street terraces of the restaurants and tapas bars that are concentrated around the streets of Calle Conde de Altea, Ciscar and Joaquín Costa. This is one of Valencia's best areas for eating out so you could take advantage of the great atmosphere by stopping off on your way.
