Whether your visit to Valencia is for business or pleasure, you could not want for a better location during your stay. The Cathedral apartments take their name from the city's cathedral beside which they are located. This site has been the historical and geographical hub of the city since the Romans first settled here and created the city "Valentia". Due to the key location you will have the city at your feet with the major historical monuments all around you and getting around will be a cinch whether on foot or using public transport.

The neighbourhood in which the Cathedral apartments are to be found is named "La Seu" and is at the old northern end of the historic centre known as "Ciutat Vella" in which most of the important historic monuments are, including the cathedral and basilica, Serranos and Quart gates, Lonja silk exchange, Central Market, City Square, railway station and bull ring. Walking from the door of the Cathedral apartments you can traverse Ciutat Vella in just fifteen minutes, heading South past the cathedral and towards the city square; as you do so the historical timeline of the city will unfold before you as step by step you go from ancient old town to early 20th century city.

The local neighbourhood also provides you with countless options for eating out, with plenty of terraces to sit at and soak up the relaxed street ambience.

The district of Ciutat Vella is bordered by the riverbed of the Turia river, which in the present day has been converted into an enormous public park running the entire length of the riverbed. This green marvel is just at the end of your street. Located within the riverbed at the coastal end is the iconic City of Arts and Sciences, and there is no more pleasant means of arriving there than taking a pleasant stroll along the Turia under the shade of the thousands of planted trees (approximately half an hour's walk).

When visiting the excellent city beach, the best way to get there is to take the tram from the Pont de Fusta tram station on the other side of the Turia riverbed; alighting at Eugenia Viñes station (approximately 20 minute journey).

If you need a bus, you will find that many pass by the end of your street beside the Serranos Gate, including the number 95 which will take you to the City of Art and Sciences in approximately 20 minutes. Another place where you can connect to numerous bus routes is the Plaza de la Reina just on the South side of the cathedral.
